Beta Advertising Post!

Although we won't be having official beta sign-ups for Mega Flare 2010, we are encouraging folks to use a beta, for artwork and for stories. Interested in offering your services as a beta? Then please comment below! Everyone is welcome to participate.

In your comment, make sure to include:

1. Your email address or another reliable way to contact you.
2. Which Final Fantasy canons you are comfortable working with.
3. Whether you can beta fic, art, or both.
4. Any scheduling issues and/or content preferences.

If you are a megaflare_ff creator looking for a beta, please comment with the following information:

1. Your email address or another reliable way to contact you.
2. Which Final Fantasy canon(s) you're planning to write in.
3. Whether you need assistance with writing, art, or both.
4. Any scheduling issues.
5. Any other details about the story/artwork that you would like a potential beta to know (pairing/planned rating/things you might warn for, if applicable/etc.).

2.) Been playing FF since it first came to the U.S. twenty years ago, so I can do almost any game in the franchise except

– Final Fantasy IV – The After Years
– Final Fantasy XI
– Final Fantasy XII (& Revenant Wings) *
– Final Fantasy XIII *
– Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Series *
– Final Fantasy Tactics A2 – Grimoire Of The Rift *

And anything that has a * on it is a game that I might be able to complete before posting starts, depending on my free time. :-) So please ask me to beta!

I can do Final Fantasy III, IV (not including The After Years), VII (including Compilation), VIII, IX, X, X-2, XII (including Revenant Wings), XIII, Dissidia and I will accept AU/Crossover fiction from outside the Final Fantasy fandom.

Fic only. I am no artist.

I attend Uni from September so I would like to work with the author throughout their writing rather than 20,000 words being dumped on my the day before the deadline date. I may still accept beta requests even up to the week before the deadline, but it depends on how busy I am.

I am most comfortable with working with slash/femmeslash, but am more than happy to do het fic as well.

2. I'll be writing in Final Fantasy X. It will be AU from the end of FFX, so no knowledge of X-2 required.
3. Just writing.
4. I'm hoping not to procrastinate too much on this. Ideally I could send you each chapter as it's done, and won't be pestering you at the last minute.
5. It's a Kimahri/Rikku fic. Heh. Knowing as I do that that's not everyone's cup of tea, I thought I should seek out a beta early. There will almost certainly be at least one adult-rated scene between them, though it won't be kinky beyond the fact of the pairing.
